VOLCANIC ASH CLOUD TO DISSIPATE TONIGHT - ALL FLIGHTS OPERATING AS NORMAL

The ash cloud from a volcanic eruption in Iceland that caused flight cancellations in Britain, Germany and parts of Scandinavia is expected to dissipate overnight, air traffic agency Eurocontrol said today.

"Tomorrow, we do not expect any significant impact on European airspace," Eurocontrol said.

About 450 flights were affected in Germany on Wednesday mainly at Berlin, Bremen and Hamburg airports, the agency said.

Aer Lingus and Ryanair are scheduled to run a full flight schedule
